Mission Not An Analyst is an anonymous Blog created to share value investing ideas. Our mission is to explore new and unique investments like distressed assets, special situations, equity shorts and undervalued equities, to criticize financial news, reports and comments whose content don’t contribute to increase the knowledge of an educated investor, to take the opposite side of the general consensus. We are under the impression that there is little money to be made in the equity market but a lot of profits to be made on special situations as mispricing and chaos create a huge amount of opportunities.
Our Material There are two different types of investment research:
The one available through established financial institutions like Bank of America or JP Morgan, which is well written but mostly equity driven. Analysts write about “how AAPL stock will outperform its peers”. That’s marginal information that will give you a limited edge. There are millions of professionals looking at APPL every day; it’s almost impossible to profit from it.
Then there is our material, which you will not find anywhere because it’s not research but it’s a collection of ideas. Our work is very detailed in nature and contains financial models, estimates, assumptions and several other important information necessary to understand what you are getting into, like the your entry point, the target IRR and the trade P&L. We are going to give you the possibility to make a lot of money.
